Working from home is tough.

In an ideal world, employees would always be high-performing. In the COVID reality, employees' performance is affected by emotional states.

Long-distance work reduces the psychological and emotional well-being of employees and with them their efficiency.

 

  • The physical distance is disconnected from each other and from the team and the workplace

  • Managers who show interest in their team members are not enough to keep them engaged

  • Employees can have major personal problems at home.

How can Laughter Yoga help you and your employees?

  • Laughter creates joy chemistry in the body, so we feel better; it increases endorphin and serotonin levels and thus our positive emotions, while decreasing cortisol levels, our stress hormone.

  • Laughing together creates psychological security in the team.

  • Laughter increases the well-being of the relationship in a team, as it increases the perception of equality.

Guided relaxation

A few minutes to ground ourselves before we move on to our next activity.

Laughter yoga: a safe environment where everyone is included.

Using humor or jokes to stimulate laughter in a team is helpful, but:

- the chemical change in our body requires persistent laughter, while ordinary laughter caused by a joke is usually short,

- due to a varied background, a team member may not understand a joke and therefore feel excluded,

- long-distance work does not create so many opportunities to laugh together.

 

In Laughter Yoga, we use exercises to stimulate laughter, so everyone is included, despite differences in humor. We laugh for several minutes to make sure our body can change its chemistry.
